What: National MS Society Walk

When: Saturday, March 27th, 2010 @ 8:00 a.m.

Where: Riverwalk Stadium, Montgomery, AL [Bing Map | Directions | Site]

- - - - - - -

This a brand new Walk for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  We have been invited to bring our table, banner and giveaways.  Setup for us is at 7:30 a.m. inside the stadium.  This is a great way to kick off Montgomery's inaugural Walk!

From their site: The Alabama Chapter is excited to announce a NEW WALK MS event for 2010!  Montgomery Walk MS will offer both a one mile and three mile route option for all participants and will take place in downtown Montgomery at the Montgomery Biscuit's Riverwalk Stadium.  Check-in  opens at 8 a.m. and the walk begins promptly at 9 a.m.  The celebration will continue  with refreshments, announcements, awards, and entertainment.

Become a part of our Team Village!  What better way to celebrate your accomplishments than to gather your friends and family under one tent at the Walk?  Bring a tent, table or chairs to serve as a gathering place for your group.  Show your team spirit and personality by decorating your tent!

Montgomery Walk MS is sure to be tons of fun and an experience that you will never forget.  We hope to see record attendance!  Come join us to celebrate and support the 4,000 Alabamians who are living with MS.

Please post below if you'll be able to make it.

So far ...

1. Brock
2. Kevin
3. Lisa
4. Bo

Busters, be thinking about table display items and promotional items! If you can get some stuff to give away, bring it. Comic books, toys, etc. Goodies for kids.

Lisa and I are at 99% for being there.  Smiley

Busters,

I will be bringing Lisa's camera, which can do the HD video we need, so we can get some good video for promotions. Be thinking of any little skits you would like to do. The more footage we can get, the better.

We can even do the classic commercial, if feasible. (I would guess me, Brock and Bo?)

This one is a go for me, but I will need a ride again, if that's cool with you, Brock (Bringing a few dollars for gas money this time, it's the least I could do!).

As for the video(s), I've had plenty of time to daydream about what we could do in them (I mean, that's what I go to school for, right?). First and foremost, we need all of us in a line doing the dance, been wanting to do that for a while! As for the commercial, I love it. You, Brock and Bo are perfect for it, and you could have the "courteous staff" (i.e. everyone else) in the background of your scenes doing random GB things, and we each get our own little clip to do whatever (I'm going to be examining my "ectoplasm", give it a sniff, then wince... Or something more dynamic, depends on the video editing/effects software we have at our disposal.)

I could see it.. at the end of the video, one of the background crew walks up to Brock with the proton pack and wand in hand and says "Hey boss, what's this new button?" You hear a "N-!!!" (as in the first part of 'NO') as the proton stream hits the camera. End of video.

Mike, can you do proton streams and those types of special effects in video?

I totally volunteer to blast the camera! I'm the youngest, so it kinda makes sense for the rookie to screw up, right?

Glad you can come!  I'll be more than happy to swing by and get you.  We'll probably need to leave before/around 6:30.

Yeah, I can do it in after effects. Just make a storyboard.
